I had given up on portraiture because I would always get to a point where I didn't like how it was going, it was a frustrating process and I would abandon the work. But since completing a portrait commission, I have found a renewed passion to start up portraits again. I just finished this portrait of my oldest son who is 10 years old.

Wonderful. I think often what we abandon comes back around with renewed gusto and vigor. Lovely work and I am so thrilled to see your artwork take shape.
