Picasso on Intuition and Creativity

Pablo Picasso, Self Portrait, Oil on Canvas, 1907

Saw this terrific article on Picasso and his views on creativity. I liked that he said " to know what you are going to draw, you have to begin drawing." One cannot wait for inspiration to hit, one needs to show up every day and work.

Here is a link to the article.

In The News

Pablo Picasso, Dora Maar au chat, 1941

I just read an article in the New York Times that apparently there is a trove of early works that have never been seen before! There is a box full of 271 previously unknown sketches, paintings and collages by one of the 20th century’s most celebrated artists -Pablo Picasso! I look forward to the day these works appear in a museum.

You can find the article from the New York Times here.
