I just recently finished this portrait of DH. He says it reminds him of Albrecht Durer. I guess because of the dark colors I used and the hat he is wearing.

Two Gertude Stein related exhibitions are currently in San Francisco. Gertrude Stein was a writer, as well a collector of art by artists such as Cezanne and Renoir. Picasso had also painted a portrait of her. She was famous for having a life companion who was Alice B. Toklas and this was in 1907.
