I am a huge believer of being and thinking positive. I feel that if you truly feel this way -things will turn out.
I am an artist living in a New York suburb. Getting back into the creative process after 20 + years. I post things that are of interest to me, which I hope will inspire you to continue on your creative journey.

Wagon Wheels

As a child, I remember these Wagon Wheels snacks. They were a chocolate covered biscuit with marshmallow and strawberry jam in the centre. They were sold in tuckshops and milk bars everywhere.

Monday Mantra: Push Yourself
I know we can all push ourselves much more than we normally can. One of my goals is to do just this. I want to see how far I can take my creative journey. In the words of Bruce Lee: “There are no limits. There are plateaus, and you must not stay there; you must go beyond them. If it kills you, it kills you.”

The Sketchbook Project Blog

I came across this blog called arthousecoop.com and thought this Sketchbook Tour Project was a fun thing to do. Each artist is sent the same blank Moleskine sketchbook. There are only got two rules: first, the book must be used in some way - no sending back an empty book or a completely different book! Second, the sketchbook must stay within its original dimensions.
And right now, these sketchbooks will be on tour throughout the USA.

Technical Help
As I was going through the (sometimes torturous) process of painting portraits again, I felt that I needed some technical help especially dealing with skin tones. I came across this website called ArtistDaily.com. There are all kinds of information on subjects like how to draw figures, and so forth. There are also artist forums on there too.

Monday Mantra: Be Inspired
I love to read about people and events that inspire me -it doesn't have to be about creative artists either. It can be about philanthropy or finding a medical cure. Sometimes talking a nature walk is inspiring too. Look around you -take note of what you see, learn and feel and record it in your art journal. You never know where it will take you!

Meat Pies!

One of my favourite foods that I miss by living in New York are Australian meat pies. They are usually made with beef and has a delicious crust and you always add tomato sauce on top! It is a meal onto itself.
